The first written evidence of the municipality dates back to 1234. At that time, Moravian margrave Přemysl freed a fortified house and a farm in Oldřišov. The municipality is located only a few kilometers far from Opava, close to the Polish border. Itʼs one of the oldest municipalities in the Hlučín region.
